Alright, I have a friend who plays Imperial Guard, and he says that he can take Space Marines in his army. At first I thought it made sense, because Space Marines can take Imperial Guard. But then a friend who plays Daemonhunters showed me a list in his Codex that detailed what out of each army he could or couldn't take. The Imperial Guard player could not point out any such list.
And that got me to thinking, why the crap would a unit of Space Marines be taking orders from the Imperial Guard?
I don't have access to their codexes, so I thought I'd ask here. Can Imperial Guard take Space Marines in their army? And if so, is there a limit to what they can take besides point cost?
I thought I'd ask here before getting into a long drawn out argument about it.
Thanks in advance,

The answer is no.
Tell your IG friend to show you where it says he may take Space Marines as Allies, etc. The only way I can think of is if he's using two armies, in which case both armies must have an HQ and at least two Troops choices to be legal. Also, he'll probably need opponent's consent.
Mr. Nemisis to the rescue once again. Your a great help man.
While we're talking about it, how about Witch Hunters and Daemonhunters? Can Imperial Guard take either of those? Sorry if this is getting annoying, but I shudder to think what a set of Gray Knight Terminators would do in conjunction with the already overpowering IG firepower.
Dang it... So what, is there like a maximum number of models the Guardsmen can use or something?
Thanks Mr. Nemesis, helpful as always. I guess this thread is done then.
