I got this from Dakka-Dakka, which someone posted from the Yahoo SOB forum. Disuss:
From YAHOO-SOB forum [re: deltawulf]
I took a long look in the Codex WH today.
So, here is what I remember:
It is a long post, so if you reply to it, please delete anything not
Special rules for Sisters:
Every Psi-Power against Sisters is dispelled on a 5+. Force Weapons
count as normal Power Weapons against them.
Sisters now have BS4. Ini is still 3.
Acts of Faith:
Most rules are the same, you get it for certain troops and get it
again when they die. Veteran Sisters give a faith point and make a
squad faithful. (IĀ“m not sure if the priest give faith points any
longer). The Test for the AoF is always against the number of models
in the squad, but depending on the AoF you must roll under or above
it. When an independent faithful character is on his own (her own),
then the test is against the ld. When a independent character,
normally not able to make AoFs accompanies a faithful squad, the
squad are not allowed to make AoFs.
You can try any number of AoFs (spending points), but the same not
more than once in a phase (sounds fair).
Every Sister Squad except for the seraphim can upgrade one modell for
20 points to an imagifier. Then you can make Test for AoF with an
additional die and choose 2 to take.
n +2 strength, but Ini 1, Test must be under the number of models in
n +2 Ini (can not combined with the above), test must be over the
number of models in the Squad
n Divine Guidance: quite the same, not sure if the test must be over
or under, sorry
n Spirit of the Martyr: changed, now you get an invulnerable save
instead of you AS. I think it is 3+, but IĀ“m not sure how it is with
Sister Repentia (AS 4+), I guess they get an IS of 4+. test must be
over the number of models in the Squad
n becoming fearless for rest of round, not sure if the test must be
over or under, sorry
I didn`t look much for the rules for the inquisitors and their
henchmen, cause IĀ“m primarily looking for a pure Sisters force. They
get Psi-Powers (probably different from Codex Daemonhunter) and
henchmen. Sadly, Sister Dialogus and Sister Hospitalis are now
henchmen, you can`t take them in a Celestian Squad. Nuts.
The so called bound Daemon Host is a captured and ābound" heretic,
giving a dispel against psi-powers.
When you take an inquisitor (lord or the elite choice) you can take
assassins (all kinds...) and orbital strikes. The rumored anti-
psionic-orbitalstrike is a blast marker with a āstrength" of 9
against the ld of the targets. Affected models (including hit
friends) loose a psychic power.
Only an Inquisitor can take a LandRaider as Transport.
I think you need an Inquisitor to take StormTroopers, but I didn't
look for it.
Other HQ are the Sororitas Heroines (not sure if there are still both
types). They can take a BodyGuard of Celestia. As mentioned above,
Sister Dialogus and Hospitalis no longer are in it (no non militant
sisters). I haven`t seen the sister famulus either, but you can take
imperial, space marine or daemonhunter allies anyway (sames rules for
allying as in codex DH, I guess). One member of the squad can be
upgraded to a banner bearer and take a banner from the equipment list.
Celestia have BS4, too (I heard someone mentioning it being 5, but I
did`nt believe it anyway).
They can take a special weapon and either a second special weapon or
a heavy Flamer (the same for the basic troops). Holy Hatred now is
hitting any enemy in CC on a 3+.
The priest is now the only member of the ecclisiarchy (how it is
written again?) you can take and he is the same as in the codex
Imperial Guard (sigh), but at least you can assign him to any unit
you want. You have to take him if you want archo flagellants and/or
Hm, I`m not sure about him being faithful, but perhaps you can put
him in a unit of flagellants. They will reroll their D6 attacks.
Sisters Repentia are quite expensive, they cost 20 points and come
with a mistress and 9 to 19 naughty girls. Yes they have an āArmour"
Save of 4+, I guess it is meant as a kind of ignoring wounds. They
have eviscerators but no special statistics other than Ld 6 (perhaps
WS 4, I don`t remember). On a 1 or 2 on a D6 they must move/charge
the nearest enemy (no fleet of foot, just their normal movement). As
long the mistress is alive, they roll 2d6 and charge on any one
showing 1 or 2. The mistress has 2(3) attacks and ini 4 and ld10
(rest I don`t remember again). She is equipped with 2 neural whips,
giving her +1 Ini and something else... The Repentia must make ld
tests for casualties etc., but they charge towards the enemy failing
it (hello Black Templars). In CC they are fearless.
Archo Flagellants: S4, T5, D6 attacks (counting as power weapons), 4+
Invulnerable Save (!, that`s what I remember about the activated
state. I guess they must move/charge nearest enemy.
They can`t be transported or take table quarters etc.
They cost 35 points and come 3 - 6.
Nothing new about the Basic Sisters: BS4, 2 special weapons or 1
special weapon and a heavy flamer. A sister superior + 9 to 19
sisters. They can take a rhino. They can take Storm Bolter s Special
Weapons for 5 Points. Flamer cost 6.
Stormtrooper are the normal ones, I think. No Arbites equipment
Dominions are Fast attack now, able to get 4 very expensive special
weapons (stormbolter cost 8 instead of 5, flamers 12 instead of 6 I
believe to remember). They can take a rhino or an immolator.
Seraphim still can hit and run (I forgot to look after the point
cost) and have all the old rules. Additionally they raise the ld of
nearby sisters by 1.
Retributors can`t take heavy flamers any longer, hv. Bolter cost 15,
multimelter 25 points.
Exorcist costs now 135 points. He has for the raised cost BS4, AP1
and front armour of 13 (I was surprised, I only heard of 12).
You can take immolators as Heavy Support, but only if you take any
Sister Units (I believe that is also true for the exorcist, but I
didn`t see it). The rule for the hv. Flamers is still the same (not
the hellhound rules). Cost is 65, I think (weapon upgrades probably
Not seen the Repressor in the codex.
1 - 3 for 80 points each. AV 11/11/10 and open topped. They ignore
shaken and stunned results. They must move/charge towards the enemy
and fire their flamers every round and try to get as much models
under it as possible (sounds for me, as if they even target friends,
but fortunately only with the flamers).
They have d6 attacks. They are equipped with 2 dreadnought CC weapons
(but this is already counted in with the d6 attacks. When they loose
an arm they have d6-1 attack, minimum 1). They have a flamer in every
arm, if both are intact they count as one heavy flamer.
Orbital strikes are heavy support, too.
I didn`t look for the rules of the judgement chair (sorry, but IĀ“m
not very interested in the inquisitor stuff)
The living saint: give 3 faith points, when loosing her last wound
(of 3), even when instant killed or so, she can make a ld test. If
successful she becomes reserve, reappearing on a 4+ on the next round
as shock troop.
What do I remember from the equipment list?
Most of the equipment in CA is still in there...
Blessed weapon, only one per army, only for sister heroines, +2
strength power weapons (very good, but the sisters needed it really)
Inferno pistols (like a melter, but a pistol, range 6", at 3" 2d6
the normal banner giving +1 to CC result
a very good banner, making all sister units in 12" fearless (can only
be taken in armies of 2000+). 50 points
Litanies of faith, still the same I think
Eviscerators, still the same.
Neural whips: +1 ini and also something else, I don`t remember
A lot of stuff against psykers... no surprise but fluffy (if you take
a witch hunter).
Prasidium Protectiva: still the same (a storm shield)
I believe to remember that there was something to raise ld of nearby
Something like an organ, giving -1ld to nearby enemy troops (forgot
range). I always knew, sister are a little slaaneshi ;-)
Holy promethium or so: only for immolators with flamers: any unit
sustaining even only one casualty from this flamers must test.
Hunter killer missile
pintle storm bolter
Some special ammunition for the pintle storm bolter, ignoring cover
Vewwy geewwwd ^_^ . BS 4 for all, Tau players eat your hearts out!
