    Obviously for marines....
I am starting a chapter called Obsidian Devils (Pictures) and im wondering if any one has any great hints for them. I was thinking VERY troop heavy and lots of heavy support! What has your Marine army got? Thx From a N00b (to marines)

    ahh..

Obsidian is a black/dark stone, and devils (unless your a Duke fan) aren't usually blue

And are my eyes playing tricks on me or are those marines old little buggers!?!

What do you mean by troops heavy with lots of heavy support???

terminators assult squads and devistators are all kinds of troops, while tanks and whirlwinds are heavy support but not troops?

Do you like rhinos? I do. I think you shouldn't use ANY TYPE of vehcle OTHER than a rhino, and even mount your devistators in rhinos. Maybe make a specail rule that lest assult marines go in rhinos? then you can paint the doors to represent heavy support, assult, or troops.

either that or stick to nothing but tac squads backed up with vindicators and whirllywinds.

Are those guys carrying Ork weapons? Their arms are also old Ork arms...

    i agree rts, haha

spike, i suggest that if your just starting, buy a battleforce. dont complicate yourself with making big army lists yet if you are new

also, you will find (in my opinion) that a lot of the GW armies are tank killers (dark lances, starcannons, railguns, etc.) so dont put too much heavy support emphasis (im a hyppocrit, i play sallamanders and always take at least one and most likely two vindicators to the battlefield)

    hope this helps

They are old modals, i found them under my bed..
Im not new, i know the rules, and have made loads of a army lists and Armys
I was just looking for some veteren marines hints.

There called Obsidian devils, because they come from Obsidia, and its an ocean planet (Which is why there blue) and the Obsidian Devils are namedafter a sea Monster of the same name on this planet.

I meant Troop Choices and Heavy support choices, lots of both.

Hope this clears some stuff up..
