Hello falcon64! Especially since you are from Vancouver! I'm from Victoria.

Just an FYI, this list should be put into the Army list section at the top of the Imperial Guard forum.

    As for you list.....

I like to take either a JO or an HSO (or JO+Honorifica) I just don't find the SO worth it. The rest of your HQ is very good.

    Your Fast attack is lovely!

I personally don't like Ratlings very much. I find the points would be better spent on a squad of Vets with a Lasconnon or something of that nature. Unless you alway fight Wraithlords, Avatar or C'Tans, they just aren't worth it IMO.

Your troops are nicely dont, with the exception that I wouldn't bother putting the points for Sharpshooter in line squads. It is worth it in HW squads, but not with regular troops. The points could be put into that previously mentioned Vet squad.

Your list is full of Heavy and special weapons which is good, the only thing I would try and add is a regular Leman Russ to give AV14 armor to absorb some of the hits. Perhaps drop a Hellhound, and one Sentinal and take a Russ with the triple HB set up.

    Overall a very good list.

    Cheers, DH

This list looks pretty nice.... Not much wrong at all, i would also go with a HSO in the main command, worth the upgrade IMO.

I would also tend to steer away from ratlings.... For me a good replacement in your list would be veterans, this will allow you to pack more special weapons in and at a higher BS, and will fit with your "highly trained" fluff and ethos.

I can understand your lack of Battle tank (i read your fluff), all i will say is be careful with your hellhound, as it will be a big target for all of the AT on the board.

    Hope this helps!

I agree with Diggums for most part. The only thing would like to add is that if you chose the Leman you'd probably want a Lascannon as a hull-mount. It keeps him dangerous when your battlecannon gets ripped by whatever unfortunate shat you catch. Trust me on the fact that they will always(!!) go for the battlecannon.
