If i'm taking deep strike and my opponent is taking prelim bombardment, does the prelim bombardment "reach out" and hit off-table units? Or only on-table units? I would guess it would only touch on-table units.
For demo charges, if you deep strike then throw one at a target, do you roll 2D for scatter and take the highest, or only 1D? I would assume 2D and take highest as you moved to deep strike.
thanks for any wisdom.

on table if i remember correctly. So someone could not bombardment something that isnt there. Unless someone reads otherwise, thats my two cents.
Ist doch so gut gewürzt und so schön flambiert und so liebevoll auf Porzellan serviert Dazu ein guter Wein und zarter kerzenschein Ja da lass ich mir Zeit Etwas Kultur muss sein.
Preliminary Bombardment can only try and hit what's there (on table). While I don't have the books with me, I'm fairly certain that the 2d6 is for vehicles only. Check the BGB for that one. I remember it being a point of contention at some point but I think that is the answer. The BGB says something along the lines of "if vehicle moves roll 2d6 for scatter".
This may have started from the Catachan codex wherein it describes Demo charges "The attack is treated the same way as for an ordinance attack, except that the model throwing the charge can move on the turn that it throws."
