    Cannoness, Celestines and Transports

All right, got another question from my friend who plays WH (I really should force him to create an account )

In the Canoness Entry it says that she can be accompanied by a squad of
Celestians from the elite section as her retinue. If they are her retinue
they count as part of the HQ choice and she can't leave the squad.

In the Elite section under Celestians it says that they can take a rhino
transport. Can I take a unit of 5 Celestians (4 SoB & 1 Vet. Superior is
min. squad size) with a rhino as the retinue choice?

Also, under the HQ section I can purchase priests who give the effect of
Litanies of Hate to any squad they join (must also charge any enemy units
in range). It says that priests never act as Independant Characters have
to be joined to a unit and in the lists of units they can join it includes
Celestians. Can I attach the priest to the Celestian squad that is acting
as the retinue and thus put him in the Rhino (or Chimera) with the 5
    Celestians and the Canoness?

I'm a little worried about putting the priest in a rhino (or Chimera)
since it negates the disadvantage that they have to charge the nearest
enemy if in range. If it is legit I end up with a unit that has 2
flamers, 2 bolters, 1 bolt pistol, 1 inferno pistol (AP2), and 3 power
weapons (1 @ str 6, 2@ str 3) that can all reroll misses on the turn that
they charge. Celestians also always hit on a 3+ in assault (basically
favored enemy) except against IC's and Monstrous Creatures. If I upgrade
one of the bolter girls to a banner bearer then the unit is also fearless.

Yeah, the Celestians accompany the Cannoness and any attached characters all fit into the Rhino as long as there is room.

So its eight Celestines, the Heroine and a Priest is the max for a Rhino.

Did I answer to your satisfaction? I find myself confused by your question.

    Priests?!

    Fah!

I put them with Repentia. That's the only job they're good for!

Agreed priest are best with repentia... but if you are going to use them with celestians, do not use them as a retinue. use them as an elite choice then join the heroine to their squad, that way the canoness can detach from the squad if need be. (like to attack another squad in range etc.

True, but sometimes you cant afford to give them the use of that Elite slot

Are you thinking of buying a generic transport for your celestians and then joining with the Canoness and the Priest?
Or are you buying a designated transport for you celestians? I don't have my 'dex on me at the moment, but I think that if you buy a "Celestian-only" rhino, you can't mount your priest or Canoness in it.

They can ride in the transport? Does that mean I can take a Canoness with a retinue and load them in the Celestians transport? Or would you have to buy a generic transport to load them into.
