/Sigh... I give in
I played BA in 3rd edition, then sold them at the statrt of 4th editin. To date, they are my favorie army. I have 2k of Nids now and was going to wait until I completely finsih them (about another 1k pts), but I want me ear BA's back! Any way, I have two questions. First, when are BA getting redone? I ask because is it worth starting them now, or should I wait if it is coming up soon. Second, what are the main differences between 3rd and 4th edition BA? I know the Rhino Rush got nerfed, but I didn't use that any way Thanks!

The Games Workship FAQ on their website should clear up any glaring inconsistencies, otherwise any changes noted in the 4th edition Space Marine codex carry over to the Blood Angels one - new Chaplain rules, wargear, etc. The prices for the Baal and Furioso are the same, as is Furious Charge, but some of the special BA wargear - the Grail in particular - had to be modified to deal with revised sweeping advance rules.

Mr_Wayne: "Some people believe that the World Eaters do not field any ranged weaponry. Those people often die at a distance."
The main differences between 3rd Edition BA and 4th are as follows:
Most Tactical Squads are kept small and used almost exclusively for fire support. They often sit back with lascannons shooting at armor or monstrous creatures.
Scouts are now used in larger units (8 - 10) as Furious Charge makes them deadly on the turn that they assault.
Assault Squads are great for the same reason as Scouts, as they hit hard and fast. These units are even better for Blood Angels than they are for most other Chapters since they cost the same number of points, but get Furious Charge.
The Death Company is often given jump packs, as people don't tend to use Rhinos very often anymore.
Baal Predators are a lot better than they were in 3rd Edition, with the changes to the vehicle rules, not to mention the fact that the assault cannon has become a far more powerful weapon.
That's all I can think of at the moment.
are rhinos still worth it w/ BA? overcharges engines sound nice but are they really worth the extra cost in points?
I find that rhinos work great. Love the speed boost ability and it gets me into a position where i can quickly assault (furious charge) makes em pretty good at that. So i would recommend a death company wiht jump packs cause they can hit incredidbly hard.
