imperial grifion tanks- were can you find rules

i was wondering about imperial guard and how the old old codexes have rules for the imperial griffon mortar tank and the new codexes don't...why? and why have the guard not have the page on them in the new book?.
if someone can help with some rules on them it would be great or anything on imperial griffon tanks tnx!

I think they are in Imperial Armour 1, but could be in another Imperial Armour book.

I'm pretty sure that Cebjw is right.

They are in Imperial Armour 1, any other place you find them don`t count unless it comes after the said book, but yeah its a nice tank shame it was taken out, but buy the book and then get the Griffon from forge world and your done.

You can also field it as part of an Armoured Company. Go on the GW's IG website, there are links to the PDF and the tank is in there.

Yep, they are nifty vees. A bit short-ranged, the weapon isn't all that strong, and it has the armour levels of a Chimera. But damn is it fun to throw out the big pie plates.

I'm not sure why they were removed from the codex but you can find the rules for them here: http://uk.games-workshop.com/imperia...c-vehicles.pdf

the rules listed above are in PDF from GW, you can get away with them in most games, but may struggle in formal tourneys,

IA1 covers all IG and Imperial navy stuff (except for anything forgeworld released afterwards) and includes different ammo types and rules for armoured battle groups

IA3 and I think 2006 update, possibly even IA4 has also got rules for Griffons
Everything you have been told is a lie!
