I've been wondering why is it the predators turret is so big? I mean, with a TLLC a razorback has the same weapon on a smaller turret.
2000pts Orks 4-2-1
Hmm to be honest I am not sure, but could it not be one of these?
1) More Armour
2) Isn't there a maned gun on top? Maybe space for the guy and equipment.
3) More computers for targeting maybe?
4) To look meaner?
5) To deflect shots with its shape, perhaps?
6) To look like a tank not a transport.
That is all I can think of at the moment.
Perhaps GW measured a marine's shoulderpads and found that this is the smallest turret that would allow one inside?
If you drop a shell on your foot an it don't urt, your shoota aint big enough!
wow I never thought it was that much bigger, I always thought the turret looked way too small for a space marine to fit in, but its just a model, and GW probly didn't make realistically correct by measuring the height of a space marine, and scaling the turret so a marine could move around inside.I've been wondering why is it the predators turret is so big?

In actual fact, GW almost certainly did it for the sake of making it look bigger and meaner.
The comparison with the Razorback doesn't really work because the Razorback's turret is just a remote controlled gun, not really a turret.
The old Razorback had a manned turret, and it's about the same size.
i always thought it was too small. on the scale side of things though, have you ever fit ten marines into a rhino?
If you get Imperial Armour Volume 2, you can see how 10 marines fit in a rhino. Essentially, 3 on either side bench, 3 standing in the middle, and the last one goes in the driving compartment, and can man the storm bolter if the automatics go out.Originally Posted by drumbum8000
