This is what I get for watching too much anime and liking certain war movies waaaaay to much...
I got to thinking about various army ideas as is my habit then I struck upon an idea...a jungle or ninja based army, the only problem is the Background (more color etc then straight fluff I am good at pulling stuff from my backside, except gene seed sighs  ) and possible drawbacks
originally I had take the fight to them, see but don't be seen
with eye to eye and faithful unto death (guerrilla wars tend to be small force and very ugly)
Any changes or suggestions, i will also be posting in the army list forum as well.:shifty:
Id encourage you to avoid terrain based armies. Marines will be expected to fight in every form of terrain imaginable. Ninja style marines might be interesting. As for the background - it has been at least 9,000 years since any primarch has commanded an army (any army that is legal to play.) So your free to pick any loyalist primarch you wish. Corax might be a good choice.a jungle or ninja based army, the only problem is the Background
As for background chapters, Jaghatai Khan primarch of the white scars, or Corax primarch of the raven guard seem best to me. Dont actually play either of these, but these chapters use more ninja like warfare then others.
I wouldn't use eye to eye as a draw back, first its tactically devastating, and fluff wise, the codex claims that chapters with Eye to eye lack raiding and guerrilla warfare training. Thus id use aspire to glory, since terminators and dreadnoughts probably wont suit your list very well, and aren't ninja like, or flesh over steal, as tanks are also not ninja like.
Faithful unto death is a pretty hardcore trait, if you want to play over 1500, id advise you use a different one. Die standing, death before dishonor, or we stand alone could all be ninja like. We stand alone is the best, and also seems ninja like, but its overused. Depending on your list, you can usually find a trait here that wont mess up anything, then find a fluff reason for it.
Sounds like a neat idea for an army. I would assume your looking at mostly infantry based. I'd consider scouts and veterns as they both have access to inflitrate skill and consider giving them BP/CC for extra attacks. I'd also consider melta guns as they fit into the assault themed army. I would try to come up with a good conversion for assault marines as with the ninja theme i'd assume that a fast moving unit is fitting. Maybe convert some that are sneaking around, or with grappling hooks.

Alpha Legion or Night Lords. For sneaky, cunning spacemarines, they're the best thing by miles.
They sound right up your street. They're not loylist marines admittedly, but take a look at some of their skills, abilities and fluff.
I did a loyalist version of an Alpha Legion army, and I was very very happy with how it turned out.
Thanks y'all, i thought about loyalist alpha legion or night lords...but they had been overdone, loyalist legion now chaos legion now loyalist chapters I mean, at least from what I heard. This was actually because of those two forces, among other things.
As for eye to eye, since most of my army infiltrates, it seemed easier, then loading up on bikes. faithful until death was to force me to make very careful choices and because it seemed to me that a small force was more in line with the concept,
but thank you all again for the suggestions.
bear in mind that the most imporatant aspect is that you use a legal army list that is WYSIWYG compliant.
The fluff and the models and colours are yours to command. You can convert your marines to look more Ninja like (aka the shadow things from F.E.A.R or something.
So go crazy with creativity and take lots of pics. Also, consider the Space Wolf 13th Grand Company rules, The entire army can scout and have other sneaky tricks up their sleave.
As long as you're using a legal list no one should have a problem. Well.. I wouldn't have a problem... but.. as I'm the most important person in the world, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks hahahahahahahahahaha.
oh that is too nasty...*wanders off to contemplate the deliciousness of it all.*
Id really take a good look at those 13th company - change the fluff of course - but your special rules would pretty darn ninja like: scouts, move through cover, acute senses, counter charge, pretty ninja like.
'The gate' power would be incredible cool, with a ninja motif. Rename the power, just rename the power smoke screen, it totally works.
Personally i proffer scouts over infiltrate, often more useful. It can be used in any mission, and you can totally confuse your opponent with it. That, and you'd be vastly better in close combat, compared to any thing you can make with the codex.
Your wulfen can be the purest ninjas, casting off ranged weapons, while the rest of the army might fight more normally.
