Welcome to Librarium Online!
I want to build and paint a BT command squad, so I need to decide what wargear they will have. This is the tricky part, I will maybe play with this squad (some day) so I want them to have good wargear and have no idea what's good on a BT command squad. I don't want a standard (just don't like 'em) other than that I have no specifications. Post your own command squads, give me some ideas, any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Long ago there was something in me, but now that thing is gone,
I cannot cry, I cannot care, that thing will come back no more.

With a Black Templar command squad, you want to take advantage of the upgrade options other units don't have, and so you want to take upgrades and make the squad fearsome in combat, in this case close combat.
Furious Charge is a good skill to give them for an offensive command squad, and with this skill you want power weapons to take advantage of the initiative bonus. Counter Assualt is a decent skill too, but it lends itself to situations where you will be on the defensive. If I remember correctly, they also have Infiltrate, which shouldn't need an explanation.
I would suggest an Apothecary if you decide to significantly upgrade your command squad; he is very helpful if your retinue is upgraded because he saves you from taking hard losses pointwise if your opponent decides to pour fire on them. Think of it as points gained every time he saves a life. In this respect the uprade to Apothecary can pay for itself if he even saves a single Marine. This guy also can be upgraded like a sergeant, so he's no slouch in close combat.
I don't understand why you don't like the standard... they are very important for Black Templars who have to pass their leadership checks. If you don't want one, at least attach a Chaplain to the squad. This way they don't falter on their way to the enemy. Still, a Chaplain does little to help adjacent squads, unless you decide to use Grimaldus.
You might want to invest in something to get them into the heart of the action, choosing from a Drop Pod, Rhino, or Land Raider. I would suggest a Drop Pod; Rhinos are too lightly armoured to be carrying such precious cargo, and are only effective if you have several Rhinos in your army already. Land Raiders are suitably tough, but they attract fire pretty often, and believe me you dont want that kind of heat on your Command squad unless you're a risky and insane player like me.
A command squad I ran for a 2000 pt game had that stuff, but I ended up regretting the fact I didn't take a standard because I had a Crusader squad fall back early on and a Terminator squad leave the board.

I usually run my command squad with 2 flamers and sarge with powerfist in a drop pod. If I have enough points I give them furious charge.
I should say with this kit out I usually use my HQ+command squad to take down hordes of enemy infantry. It is not designed to take down vehicles or monstrous creatures (that's what my vehicles are for).
