I am into Guard and their style of play, and I'm wondering what i should get for 1500 points. Please give me some ideas.
Commissar, your post was deleted for posting stats and the likes in a much too complicated manner... plus the whole, non-English part. Please refrain from doing that again.
@Yugo - I suggest you post your own list and let people comment on it, things run much smoother that way. =)
Guard cityfight ideas. Hmm....I am into Guard and their style of play, and I'm wondering what i should get for 1500 points. Please give me some ideas.
Rough terrain modded 2 heavy flamer chimeras?
Heavy Flamer Sentinels?
Yeah. I like flamers in cities of death. In fact, flamers in general can be fantastic, seeing as you dont have to roll to hit.
Gear your ranged shots more towards lots of bullets in the air rather than having high ap, all that ap will be wasted when the opponents have lots of cover. Autocannons and heavy bolters are your friend, lascannons are a waste of points unless you fear encountering many high AV tanks.
Either that, or gear your shots towards devestating one shot wonder salvos, such as many plasmaguns, as you will often be able to hide your squads till they can strike with the most effectiveness. On the other hand, once used, squads such as these tend to be massacred themselves, so choose your targets wisely.
Mortars. These things are great - your oppenents will tend to be bunched up either in or behind buildings, so the number of hits will be much greater than you might otherwise expect. And if they spread out a little, you may be able to hit them more effectively with your other guns. I dont take mortar support squads however, if I can avoid it, those things either all hit or all miss. I spread them amongst my officers and the occasional infantry squad for greater overall accuracy.
Cameleoline doctrine? 3+ cover saves are nothing to be sneazed at. With a fortified postition, it becomes 2+.
Very large conscript squads and ammo dump strategem can be fun too.
Fuel dump, sewer rats, and 4 flamer officers in that building in the middle of the table? They wont last long, but it sure is fun!
Hope these ideas spur some creative juices of your own!

Also, you should google "garfield minus garfield". Awesome.
