I once before raised a question about the SOB's fighting tyrannids and received a good deal of great strategy tips. However, as our 40K group now has a new member who will actually be fielding 'Nids, my questiion is this: Why would the Ordo Hereticus get involved with Bugs in the first place?
I will also be fighting Chaos Marines in this campaign. Now granted this would seem to be the job of the Ordo Malleus and the Grey Knights, but I believe it is in the Eye of Terror that mention is made of Sisters fighting Chaos in at least one of Abaddon's crusades. Swell.
But unless 'Nids happened to be close by and just happened to get a whiff of life forms and thought it an 'all we can eat' slaughter, wny would the SOB"s be there?
As well, it was, I believe, on this site that someone mentioned ignoring the scenarios in the Codices that mention why this army would fight that one because it is just screwing with the fluff.
So, before I match Repentias with Genestealers, somebody help me, please!
lol matching repentia with genestealers...
Well there is two pages of reasons devoted to why Witch Hunters would face other armies in the codex. But if it came down to it Tyrannids attacked a planet housing some Adapta Sororitas Shrines, what do sisters do? Well, they fight don't they, it doesn't matter if the army should be hunting psykers or not, if someone attacks you, you'd defend yourself least. Same goes for any other army too. =P
another justification are genestealer cults. You can create some nifty fluff saying how the Sisters have incovered a genestealer cult that is gaining more and more sway with citizens and slowly leading them to rebellion. Thus the Sisters have a two fold mission: get rid of the heretical/alien cult and punish the followers as heretics/traitors/rebels.
Hope that helps!
If you win games against Nids with flamers (aside from the Inferno Cannon on a Hellhound), you're playing against opponents with stupidity of impressive magnitude.
Women and bugs have always been mortal enemies.
Sisters Repentia: Wow what beautiful models! Wow what terrible rules! -stjohn70
