i am a space marines player but ive just noticed that imperial guard are really cool.
The only problem is i havent got much money and need to stay under 60 pounds max.
please could anyone make suggestions for a starter army.
60 pounds? Well a battle force gets you two troops squads and 3 heavy weapons. You need two troop choices to make a legal force so use the granader doctrine and bye one squad of storm troopers. This gives you 2 full squads with weapons, one squad of storm troops and a leman russ tank. All you need now is a command squad, if you use the heavy weapons models then you sould have 5 men left to make one up. You can add a little hear and there to get too 750 points.
Or you could try E-bay:tongue:
what is a doctrine??
A doctrine allows you to make more of a custom force like taking more then 1 squad of veterans for example.
If you havent already I would buy and read the codex first, post any questions make an army list. Ebay is always one option. The battle force and another box of troops another, a small platoon and an armoured fist another.
Many ways to get into guard but, those are cheap ones. Battle force option is the best I think. Plus any left over parts you can make a Commander with and left over parts you have( you'll have tons left over). I would also suggest you save any plasma pistols you can if you are going to use plasma guns, much cheaper way of converting the plasma pistols with flamers.
Good luck and welcome to the guard.
