    marine backpacks on sisters...

I didnt know whether this should go into the conversion forums or this one... but seeing as its about SoB and i wanted to ask SoB players I thought id chuck it here.. let the mods decide.

I got a few blisters of sisters (that rhymes)... and all of a sudden i realise that theres no bloody backpacks inside one of the blisters. So I take them back to the shop and the stupid GW dude says 'oh marine backpacks...' and walks away to get them. So he gets back and I'm like 'erm... sisters of battle wear sisters of battle backpacks' and he replys 'i dont think they do pal' and walks off to check. Few minutes later hes back with a veteran superior blister and a special weapons blister (2 storm bolters... D'oh) and he says 'theres 1 in there and 2 in there and i dont want them so you can have them'... Dunno why he said that like but I'm like cool. So im now sitting here with some of those old style SM backpacks wondering if its possable to convert then on and not have a very wierd looking model............

I think they'd fit to the backs of Sister models quite easily model wise. However I much prefer the backpacks that sisters come with originally, they look more visually detailed and I dislike Space Marines with a passion (though only loyalist marines).

aye... but otherwise i'd have to shell out a load of moolah for some measly little pieces of metal.

I've just glued them on like half an hour ago or something. they look not bad IMO. will post pics when models have been painted

If you get a box with missing or defective bits you can often contact GW and have them replace the box.
The only honorable options left to we combatants is seppuku or semantics...which amount to the same thing really.

Keep them for something else, like battlefield debris.
With extensive conversion, I suppose they could be adapted to an Inquisitor's artificer armour.

the same thing happened to me when I bought my first box of SoB, shortly after the release.
I hadn't bought the codex and opened the box and painted the models. Well as everything was done I was looking at the cover of the box seeing powerpacks, hmmm, where were mine? I forgot the thing because between two periods of 40k come a period of Fantasy. Now 2 years later, when I fixed up the uggly painted SoB (=all of them) I realised they were missing. Anyone got any ideas?

I'd say head over to your nearest GW shop and order the bits. Not much else you can do, if its been 2 yrs since you bought the box. (2yrs from my understanding of what you said.)
