I was reading the DH codex and under the Sanctuary Psychic Power description it says that any daemon within 3" when active is automatically destroyed. So, say if my Inquisitor is locked in combat with a Daemon Prince. The next turn, which would be my turn, can i cast it, even though I'm in combat? And if i do, i assume the DP is automatically destroyed? In close combat?

    R U 0K!??!? BUHHHHST WUUUULFFFFF!!!

    not quite...

once cast, no daemon may come within 3" of the psycher...

those already in 3" are pushed back 3"away fraom the caster and any daemon that enters play (summoned, deepstrike) within that 3"radius is killed automatically...

hope this clears it up for you - see pg 12 of the DH codex for more

ccolinh has it right. Also, Sanctuary *can* be used in CC to end combat with a Daemon (not destroy it).
