I was dreaming up a warrior weapons army when i noticed the wording. It says that if a model normally is armed with a las rifle. now this is simple for your average squadie but what happens when you get to aergeants or vets? sergeants already have the option for two weapons without access to the armoury and as pistol and sword is my normal sergeant setup do i stil have to pay? i think not but i just want to check. Also it says all members of the army armed normally with lasrifles. When it comes to conscripts you obviuosly can take it (interesting option there) but with hardened vets im assuming (as they have the same options as the normal sarge) they dont have to pay either?
A bit of clarification would go a long way here especially off of those with some experience of warrior weapons!
After a few posts I'll probs put up an army list ive been working on. (its all about priests and peasants....)
Oh and just quickly after putting a priest in my command squads i can put one straight into the conscripts right?
Any help would be much appreciated as ever!
To answer your question about the SGTs, I would say no, you don't have to pay, as when you upgrade them you can equip them either or so they would not normally be equipped with a lasgun.
The hardend vets would be treated as a normal gaurd infantry and have to pay, and finally, no, you can't immediatly put a priest in your conscript squad, they have to go into ALL Hq squads... that includes your platoon HQ's.
Hope that sheds some light on your questions, now I would like to ask one of mine... Why? Read all the post you want and you will see that the guard is a shooty army, not assaulty. I don't want to deter you, to each their own, but just curious what you fluff/strategy is to inspire such an army...

Sorry mate, no priest in the conscript platoons. Re-read the advisors rule there it's specially mentioned who can be joined by them.
What you could (should?) do is to read about the zealots available for witch hunters. They have the same style of play as I assume you are looking for here.
They appeared in a White Dwarf last year(?) and are chapter approved.
Two years ago I think, it was a bit after when the new Witch Hunters codex came out.
