ok. id bet that this has been asked before but im just playing guard (intently, ive played before but not very much) and i wanted to know something.
when you give a unit special abilities/equipment it says +blah blah points per unit. does this mean squad? or platoon. cause in the faq it says for one specific doctrine that its per squad, but it doesnt mention the others. does this mean i get carapace armored conscripts for 20 pts more, or is it per squad.
i already know the answer, but i can hope. lol
Per squad sunshine, sorry
It's worse then that. You'll want to look on page 55 of the 'dex for the definition of 'guard infantry' when applying doctrines.
Conscrpits cannot have carapace armor at all.
special equipment goes per squad, also do read the guard infantry as well.
No carapace armoured conscripts, why would you want to waste that much points on a model much crappier then the normal guardsmen? The conscripts going to die, best not waste any good eqiupment on him.
yeah, i just thought two platoons of guys with armor 4+ would be crazy... a horde of little guardsmen.
anyway. thanks for your help.
thatll help with my army building
