I was just wondering what you people thought in the forums. If you were to use Grey Knights as an allying contingent would you prefer a Space Marine, Imperial Guard, or Witch Hunters base list?
I'm not here for the respect, just here to spread the clarity of a very complicated game
I'd go for Space marines. You can take Librarian (i love that guys) and lascannon space marines (who are more able to survive shots then IG). And you can take a few Landspeeder Tornadoes!
And gone are your Anti Tank problems

Space Marines! Take a Chaplain with a full squad of assault marines and a teleport homer. This is a nasty unit even without 2 squads of FAGK and some GKTs dropping in next to them. Take scouts as troop choices and take the fight to them!
 No brainer! Imperial Guard.
Little cheap men with big guns to go with our supermen Grey Knights. Oh throw in a Basilisk and Leman Russ..........

Bear in mind that Space Marines can only ally with DH's if Grey Knights are NOT present.
Based on that, I'd say Imperial Guard. Powerful shooting and powerful combat. Extremely useful and you can't really beat it.
They can ally with psykers, just not psykers with psychic powers. Inquisitors without psychic powers are good to go. Also, the Black Templars Abhor the Witch specifically states that Grey Knights are the exception to the rule.
