Agreed to put up by Firedrake28.:w00t: (And you are welcome to join Darke)
Creaters: The Toon and Adrian MalSeraph
Well since I have seen nothing fun in here for a long time since Firedrake put up her thing I have decided to come up with another. This is basically "Can you guess" what unit will go in this list. There will be no traits or special chapters. These will be just regular vanilla lists.
THE WAY IT WORKS
Here is how it works. I will leave up a list for maybe 1day or 2. Then form there I or Adrian_MalSeraph will put up one. Then you get one chance to put what unit and what with unit should be in that spot. First two rounds we will give you the section it goes in (Troops, elites....exc.) After that we will not tell you what section it is. We will determine the winner by who gets the most correct choices for the lists. So one winner each list. The winner will get rep.
WE WILL NOT GIVE YOU THE PIONTS FOR THE LIST IT IS ANYTHING YOU THINK WILL FIT THERE. Adrian and I will determine whether your choice would fit the list.
We will give you the points of each unit and say what it is equiped with.Pure example then you would have to guess what would be added to the troop section. The lists will not be this small so you don't need to worry about that.Example: Section that is missing unit (Troops) Points aren't exact because it is example.
Commander: Power weapon, Bolt pistol, Adaminte mantal.
Tactical squad 10 men: Plasma gun.
Tactical squad 10 men: Plasma gun.
FIRST LIST: Section missing unit (Heavy Support)
Wargear: Pair of lightning claws, iron halo, terminator honours, and artificer armour
Wargear: Multi melta, venerable, furiouse assault skill, drop pod.
Wargear: Lascannon, missle launcher, venerable, and tank hunter skill.
Tactical squad x6 of these squads
Wargear: Melta gun in each and a heavy bolter in each.
165 =990 each squad.
upgrades: hunter killer missle
So guess I'm a bit confused - is the goal to make a themed unit with this army, or a unit that would fulfill a need, or a unit that would complete an army list. Suppose this is a 2000 point list, which unit am I trying to guess at?
Eh.. I guess Ill guess a 7 man squad of devastators, with 4 heavy bolters.
maybe a predator with TL lascannon and heavy bolter sponsons?
I'd go for a predator destructor with HB sponsons, as anti tank is already present enough IMO --> scout bikes and lascannon dread with tank hunter. and you can't ever have enough anti personel
oh, and it adds another vehicle to stand with the more juicy targets (dreads and veíndicator)
"You'd never imagine how many people would like an electric chair hanging on their wall. Especially if it fits the colour of the wallpaper."
I will go with a assault squad with powerfist. Come on, a space marine list without a assault squad?
Sorry, KOS-MOS, it has to be a Heavy Support Selection. It's there on the list.
When I write a list, I'll try to make things more clear.
i second the Predator D, with the HBs, there really isnt enough anti infantry in that list, besides who dosent want a 41st mill, Bradley
Thats freaking unclean, man.
As to the contest, assuming points are no option. I'd add a second castellan launching whirlwind. The minefields will help to gum things up further, and it should help the Vindicator to move up into battle position. ...course in moments of bitter insanity, I've wanted to field 3 of the bastards...
Well in that case i will go for a devastators squad with 4 missile launchers. They only really have
the lascannon as anti-tank as all those metla guns will not be able to even get near a tank. Missile launchers also act as long range plasma guns.
I'll go for a devastator squad with 2 plasma cannons. 6 man.

That is not dead which may eternal lie,
