Welcome to Librarium Online!
Does anyone use Grey Knights in their SM lists as inducted parties because your allowed to under the Daemonhunters codex?
I just mention it as I plan on using a Grand Master as my 2nd HQ in my 2000pt army. Strength 6 force weapon anyone!!! I think so!!
Be interested to hear what you guys think. Cheers.
Grand masters are alright but normal grey knights are generally a waste of points thats why you'll rarely ever see anyone take them.. __pts for a marine is too much
No jump pack on your grand master is going to make him less of a threat as well, but if the enemy comes to you it can be useful

I've seen people do it quiet often actually, What is honestly better than having an ally who's basic trooper is a close combat monster in power armour toting a storm bolter?
I mostly see people use either, a grandmaster, FAGK, or a squad of GKT's (once I saw someone use two mini PAGK squads but outside of a grey knight army your still paying a hefty amount of points for four heavy weapons and some expensive meatshields.)
Take my love, take my land, take me to where I cannot stand; I don't care I'm still free, you can't take the sky from me.

Against certain armies a Brother Captain with the following equipment can be surprisingly effective.
Grey Knight Brother Captain
- Nemesis Force Weapon
- Master crafted psycannon
That's all he needs, no Terminator bodyguard, no fancy anti-Daemon wargear or any of that. People tend to use this guy to pick on infantry with a 4+ save (or worse) using the RAW wording of the psycannon to ignore armor, invulnerable and cover saves. Very nasty against those Genestealers that just love to come at you through cover to take less casualties from heavy bolter fire!
You get a Storm Bolter that utilizes True Grit, a 2 S6 CC attacks (3 S6 power weapon attacks on your Justicar) and all the very nice special rules Grey Knights get as well.
Infact the only reason I'm taking a break from my GK is to get my WS Bike army going and I'm likely to induct some Grey Knights into it as well.
Here's an example. I run 2x 5 man Scout Bike Squads with melta-bomb and teleport homers. Take my scout move before the game, running each unit up a flank. Turn 1 turboboost across the board somewhere near cover. Now currently in my 1500 point list I have 5 Assault Termies with Furious charge. But if I expand the points abit then Bam..some GK Termies with a Grand Master and a 10 man FAGK sqaud pop down behind them. Now the enemy is backing up frantically away from said Grey Knights (because outside of Harley's and Genestealers, I don't see anyone else really anxious to get into CC with them). Which is fine because now he's running straight into the rest of my army coming up the middle and around the flanks. One way or the other, he will get charged, and one way or the other, my GKs are still getting into CC, likely by turn 4.
Well with the new DA Codex I'll finally be able to pick up a nifty squad of GKTs and a Purgation Squad. Of course they will count as specialist Fallen Hunters or something such as that:sleep:

well I will soon be placing a squad of Grey knight terminators into my Dark Angel list, as you can see from the list I posted in the army lists section (disciples of Caliban), the Terminators are just too good to pass up really.
