Alright, I have a 2000 point game this weekend against my friend's Orks, and I'll clearly be fielding Sisters (hence the reason I'm posting here). Also, I'll be taking Daemonhunter allies, just for a hard hitting edge to my army.

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on units to take, weapons to field, etc. I still have plenty of time to buy anything I need, so if there are units that are clearly better then others for this game, I'd love to know

Thanks!

battle sister squads with 2 flamers seem to have merit as do retributor squads with 4x heavy bolter sisters.

For those who are interested, I won!

We played a Patrol mission, and by the time the game ended, I was the clear winner. What a game though!

I play orks so i don't know much about the sisters, but those immolator flamer things on the tank would be horrible for any ork mob...

So would Redemptionists with Exterminators. Too bad they're on their way out.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.

It also helped that your entire army showed up on the second turn. it was still cool.

For the record, my army showing up on the second turn should NOT have been a major issue in a Patrol mission.

(Also, for the record, everything BUT my HQ showed up 2nd turn <_< )

Anyway, my point is this- If all of your forces show up the turn before your opponent, especially as an SoB player, how does that help? My 24" bolters aren't going to be in range for another 3 turns, and my heavy weapons are useless the turn they show up. On the other hand, the Ork player received most of his army the turn after all of my guys showed up (him going first, of course), so he had a GREAT opportunity to see the deployment of my forces, and prepare accordingly. And stinkin Ork heavy weapons are assault weapons, meaning he had a full round of shooting at my poor poor sisters.

What actually won (and ask Ty about this one, Shiver ) was the turn of Ork shooting where not a single sister died. It was beautiful.

I started working on a squad though- doing the order of the bloody rose. They aren't looking too bad. I'm trying to get them done ASAP
