hey can you feild a whole deathwatch army rather then a single kill-team supporting a force?
Until they release a Codex for the Ordo Xenos, the best you can do is make all Vet Sergeants DW Veterans and toss in a Kill Team for good measure.
Check out ==My== blog: www.bnhblog.blogspot.com
ive been thinking of doing this lately, so i pulled out my copy os US WD 305, to me, its unclear if you can do both the vets and the kill team in the same list.
also, how fluffy would it be to have a full 2kpt list of DW?
Not fluffy at all.. They're a "kill team" not a " kill company"
The older deathwatch rules arent valid anymore.. Only the ones which allow you to upgrade a single squad (I dont even remember the old rules besides no one ever used them)
It's like having 40 Grey Knights on the board; the only time 40 of them are going to deploy at once is if a Greater Bloodthirster is having a keg party on a Daemon World and invited all his mates to play "Toss the Cultist and Feast Upon His Rich Warm Blood."

Mr_Wayne: "Some people believe that the World Eaters do not field any ranged weaponry. Those people often die at a distance."
The only time I would ever think of seeing so many Deathwatch members on the field is in a mega-battle sized game during a campaign that is heavy on the eradication of xeno taint.
So lets say you were playing Dawn of War or something.....you only get this much Deathwatch on like the final mission.

I think poodle makes a pretty valid point, if you read most of the literature out there, GK aren't generally deployed in vast armies, usually just a squad or so at a time, but i've seen plenty of armies which use several squads of GK. Death Watch could be deployed in response to a tyranid hive fleet, eldar pirates, an ork Waaaagh or any number of other alien invasions which are facing the imperium.
