A lot of posts exist on what DH organization people use and why. ISTs, or pure GKs, inducted Leman Russ, or etc. And everyone has an argument/strategy on why they do it they way they do, but quite simply...
Which DH organization has the greatest success?
I know there are countless variables, such as strategical skill of the DH player and of the opponent, but do you win more than you loose?
I use Pure GK (termies, GKs, a GM, and a dreadnought) more often than I use my DH, and I seem to have good success rates.
Mostly, my GK tend to be so damn POWERFUL that no one can really get into them. Case in point.
My GM single-handedly wiped out a Platoon (The whole thing) then took on the command squad and took down the greater Daemon. Granted at the end he was at one wound, and most of his retinue had been clubbed repeatedly. (10 attacks got one termie! WHY DID MY TERMIES SUCK SO MUCH!?)
Basically, IG and Tau tend to be my best armies to take down. Tyranids are my bane.
If a tree falls in the forest, and it lands on a mime, does anyone care?
I am trying out Guard with inducted GK but I havent played a game yet so I'll come back to ya...

I started out a purists some 7 months ago and have slowly morphed into a hybrid player using grey knights and inducted and I have lost 1 game in the last 4 months and it was in a tourney and completely due to mission parameters and blind luck on the enemies part.
My new list Im tweaking with for radicals is doing as good if not better.
Either radicals or my hybrid list will be taken to the LA Games Day in April and the LA GT next fall.
I'm a radical and use plenty of demon hosts and some troopers i have a pretty good win rating but you do lose alot some times bes=cause your deamon hosts keep using dam phycic powers instead of reknitting themselves
I started with DH and Inducted Space Marines - did ok. Mainly used the SM to provide things like tanks and some surviveability.
Recently switched to Pure Gk and have started doing better, although there are still some glaring flaws in the army as a whole (Only one decent HQ choice, limited longrange firepower).
SM with GK allies works well. Its all a bit pick and mix as i am learning the game atm......but i remember GK's from 2nd ed and loved them so much, i couldn't really consider playing another army
NOBODY expects the Holy Inquisition!
Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise....
Our two weapons are fear and surprise... and ruthless efficiency....
Our three weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...
and an almost fanatical devotion to the Emperor....
Our four... no...
Amongst our weapons... Amongst our weaponry...
are such elements as fear, surprise...
I'll come in again.
Personally, in a 2000-3000 point game, I use a Grand Master and an Inquisitor Lord, and an assortment of assassins, GK fast attack and IST's. But whatever you use, that's what works best. People play Daemonhunters because of the challenge, among other things. Along with this challenge comes a great deal of flexibility. Figure out what style of fighting suits you, and you can tailor your army around that. Don't get a ton of ST's and tanks and Gun Servitors if you like charging in there and mauling your opponents. Think of what is fun to you, and I know there are DH units that can be successful. After all, it's your money, right? Just don't forget to keep your list balanced. If you like to assault like I do, just leave the fire support up to your troops. That way you can paint that awesome Daemonhammer for your Inquisitor Lord, or the homemade triple-bladed Nemesis Force Weapon for your Grand Master. And if your short on cash but need some more tank-busting/Terminator-killing power, think ORBITAL STRIKE!!!
I play a pure GK army, and let me tell they are awesome. I haven't lost a single battle with them. As an added bonus I just love how my opponents always look at my army size and say, "Is that all? and I just nod smiling.
"I'm always right. Except for the times I'm not."
Pure sisters of battle!!!! ... oh, and umm.. a couple grey knights. Those psycannons really compliment our army, as we rarely have a gun that shoots more than 24" away.
i've been toolin around with demonhunters since they came out. Heres what i've come up with.
When feeling radical i use relictor marines and an Inq lord with demonhosts
hq Commander in term armor storm bolter/artekus scourge
Inq lord tooled to dispense justice to demons in hand to hand full compliment of henchmen in a rhino
troops 3 10 man tac squads vet searge missle launcher and plasma gun in each
heavy dev squad 2 plasma cannons 2 missle launchers vet searge 5 bolter marines (anti-troop squad)
dev sq 4 lascannons vet searge 5 bolters (anti-armor)
elies 7 man term assault squad 5 pairs lightning claws 2chainfists force commander joins them
dread with assault cannon/cc arm
fast landspeeder squad 2 multimeltas 1 HB
tactics are simple, i set the tac squads in front of the dev squads hopefully all in cover ,behind that the force commander joined with the termies
the dread is just sitting wherever he has the best field of fire
the speeders behind cover til they are ready to strike
the key i believe to this setup are the two dev squads as they do 75% of the killing the inq lord works his way toward the whatever big nasty demon is out there or waits till one is summoned , once again very simple but very deadly.
shoot trrops with plasma cannon dev squad shoot vehicles with lascannon dev squad and targets of opportunity with tac squads. if there is some hidden armor to kill like a basilisk or cannon of khorne the multimetla speeders go get it .
the enemy will be very thin by the time they hit the lines. If at all. the best thing that can happen is the hit the line and completely wipe out the front tac squad or squads because then whatever is left along with the dev squads open fire rapid firing bolters. If there is anything left in the assault phase i charge em with the force commander and termies. i have played 5 games with this alignment against chaos world eaters, space wolves, and necrons and have won them all by big margins.
If feeling pure and rather imperial i take my blood angels and grey knights as allies. Tactics here are also very simple. assault assault assault
i like both ways listed above but have found fielding a pure demonhunters list not to my liking.
