I've posted an army list, and was brought up on the fact that two of the doctrines I've chosen aren't optional for any unit - but that everyone must have it...
They were hardened fighters and chem inhalers...
which looked to me at least, like they weren't needed for every unit in the army from what was said in the book...
The regiment is recruited from particularly violent societies and backgrounds...this Doctrine is available to any Guard infantry squad for +X points
it said it was available, not like say Carapace armour which is
"Guard Infantry units and Rough Rider squadrons upgrade their normal flak armour with carapace armour at +X points per unit"
which sounds far less optional than 'may'
Same with Chem Inhalers
"Some undisciplined units have..."
so I thought it was optional...
Am I right?
Am I wrong?
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.
From my experiance, those are all optional. You can take the doctrine, then assing it for the +X points to any amount of the specified units you want. you dont need to give it to everyone
