    Commitment to the Guard

Guys, I'd just like to say I'm made up how much everyone loves the Guard. All the other races might be some super powered hard as nails warriors, but I love how much pride we all have in being normal dudes, with the worst weapons, and the worst armour, fighting for our little lives.

Best army in Warhammer. We love the Guard more than anyone else loves their army.

Yep. I guess I do love the guard

And as for worst weapons, I just started putting together a vet squad all armed with shotguns. Low power for the win!

Also, you should google "garfield minus garfield". Awesome.

I think part of the appeal of IG is that we as normal humans can identify most with IG, if 40k were true all of use would probably have a good chance of getting drafted into a regiment.

It's kinda hard to identify with a bio-engineerd super human with 2 hearts who spits acid. Not to mention 'nids or 'crons!
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

Its nice when your opponent goes: "I killed 90 of your guardsmen!" and you can just reply "SO?".
Its just not the same with tyranids...

I agree, heroism withhout fear is not quite as impressive. Long live the little fearing guys who point their lasguns at monsters in the name of humanity.

I like imperial because of what HeZu said, i can identify with them easily and i like being the defender of humanity that and i love that one guy in the cadian hq box, he just sits on the ground bleeding before the battle has even started. Cadian Conscript: "A little help?!.." dude on the ground: "sorry i'm too busy lying down and bleeding, but good luck with that chaos titan"

I just like guns. Lots of guns. Imperial Gaurd satisfies my addiction.
