Just for the hell of it I fancy adding a Vanquisher to my embryo A/C (I know, I know, I can give up any time I like - honest!)
The question is - what is the best hull weapon option L/C or H/B and are sponson H/B worth it on this particular vehicle.
Only an idiot fights a war on two fronts. Only the heir to the throne of the kingdom of idiots would fight a war on twelve fronts.
i would personally go for sponson HB and hull LC, that keeps the cost down and lowers it on the enemies list of priorities: armed with a tankbusta cannon it's always gonna attract a lot if fire, by going all LC it'll become an even bigger target!
3 heavy bolters - I know its a tank hunter but one lascannon shot is not very useful against most enemy tanks so at least after it loses its cannon it still has some real firepower instead of a lame 1 shot a turn which is far less powerful then its lost weapon. It also gives it something to fire if it finds itself up against infantry without support.
"Hey sarge, this lasgun is heavy. I wish we had something lighter."
FF7: ABOUT RANDOM BATTLES
i think that 3 HB's makes it, once again to big a threat: the enemy might worry about you driving it into his infantry. Making it, once again, too appealling a target.
Whatever you do however, don't give it 3 LC's!
I usually run my Vanquisher with just a heavy bolter to keep it lower on the priority list, and keep it back well away from the battle line to take advantage of its range.

With all my Lemans, even usually my Demolishers I give them the triple HB combo. It keep the tank cheaper, and also becomes a decent anti-infantry tank if the Battle Cannon gets destroyed.
There are also times when it is preferable to shoot the triple HBs vs the Battle Cannon. For example, you have two Marines in cover - you have a better chance of killing them with the Triple HBs, especially if you move. :shifty:
