What is the deal with frag, krak, and melta grenades. There is no info on these anywhere in the Space M. codex or in the rulebook>>>>>What do they do????
Frag grenades let you strike simultanously when assaulting enemy in cover.
Krak grenades and meltabombs are used against vehicles and immobilized dreadnoughts; basically you assault the vehicle and use them against it to penetrate the armor. They let you blow them up; meltabombs work really well against most everything out there.. Otherwise they're not used for anything else (i.e., you can't throw a grenade at a troop unit to attack them).
appreciate the intel.....
just to make sure, are you positive that meltabombs and krak grenades only work on imobilized dreadnoughts? Chapter approved says vehicles, including dreadnoughts, but it doesnt specifically say imobilized dreadnoughts. or does it? thanks
Under the rules for Walkers it states that anti-vehicle cc attacks cannot be used on them unless they are immobilized. In the TVR this is changed but under the official rules it remains the same.
Right. The TVRs floating around are said to be very outdated and have been extensively modified for the upcoming 4th edition.
on page 91 of the rule book, in the paragraph tittled "Immobalised Dreadnoughts in Close Combat", they state that only immobalised walkers can be subject to a meltabomb attack.
