It’s been awhile since I have played Warhammer 40k, and with all these new editions of the game coming out, and all the army and chapter updates coming out, I'm not sure where I stand with an army.
As the topic title may say, I am a Black Templar player, and have been for quite awhile now, a fact I do not wish to change, I have bought the Black Templar codex, and having read over there special rules, and the chapters crusades and background, I am glad I did choose to stay with this chapter.
Here is where my problem starts, I'm not all that sure on an army list anymore, with all the other armies special rules and tactics.
If someone would be so kind to list an army list of 500 points, for a basic annihilation match. Possiably some tatics for the army list you make.
Being a Templar player myself, I don't run the run-of-the-mill army list. I play a special breed that takes the fight to the heretical minions of chaos faster than ever imagined by many. I, as you may be wondering by now, play Mechinized BT. This is hard to do for low point games, as each one of my squads is 243 points, and with the 2 tr. + 1 hq, you can't do it. So, as I may not be able to help you, I do hope you consider the rare breed of Mechanized BT.
I see what you mean by its best to get the Templars up into close combat as quick as possible, on this note, do you think it would be worth it to add some Drop Pods into the army list, a larger list that is, to get them right up there in a few turns? Or would you rather spend the points on a Rhino or another from of transport?
