Just spotted this when looking around the GW store, all the units and such are up for sale (still all advance orders though).
EDIT: And people call us cheesy! Look at that, they can take the same allies DH can, but have a kickass base army to boot. Bah. I mean, Arco-Flagellants? Penitent Engines? Inquisitor freakin' Lord Karamazov?!?
Yeah...I'm prolly switching to WH...My =][= and stormies are gonna be the WH compulsory army, ArcoFlagellants as elites, and allied GK...heehee...WH just fit me even better than DH 'cos they're all sinister and freaky and *****.
The only thing that really gets me about the WH (from the looks of that store) is that they can take a huge variety of allies, while having a large, cheap, and diverse base army. All I can say is that the Oenos better not be that cool too, or I may have to make my Gk army allies to 'em
Very cool , I think i will be doing witch hunters but with no sisters of battle just inquisitiors , stormtroopers etc...
hey, sisters of battle wouldn't even be in the witch hunters codex if GW liked our army any more. Then we would be "just another 40k army". Instead, they decided on giving us a support role in the codex. I dont like sisters becoming witch hunters, but have you looked at their rules and their army list before the codex? In those rules, we are extremely weak. Its about time we got some new miniatures to add to our army. I would hardly call it cheezy, especially next to the grey knights who are FEARLESS. Thats just to name one of the grey knights cheeziest ability. They are well worth their expensive points.
after closer review of what sisters can induct, I take back what I said earlier. It IS cheazy. we can induct an ENTIRE platoon of imperial guardsmen? does that include heavy weapons squads that can be included in a platoon? Instead of imperial guardsmen having to rely on meat sheild tactics, the sisters of battle will be more like a Steal wall that cant be destroyed, but he imp guard will be able to shoot over.
Also, I don't beleive that grey knights have ANY oportunity to induct, or in any way attain, a prediter. The Lamon Russ looks cool too!
Oh My God!!! That Inquisitor Lord Karamazov Rules!
Is it basically a dreadnought or does it count as infantry?!?!
I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor. That's my dream. That's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight... razor... and surviving.
Wow! The WitchHunters are so cool! Dude I'll like start with them when I'm finishing this army... Really nice...
Shiver, it IS possible to do an all Sisters army, there's the Canoness, Sisters Superior, Sisters Repentia, regular Sisters, Seraphim, Retributors, etc etc. Way more flexible than a pure GK army. We have GK Hero, Termies, Reg GKs, Teleport GKs, and Purgation Squad (heavy support GKs), and a dreadnought (which shouldn't count 'cos it's a vehicle). All that, and the only one with any antitank power is Termies and/or Hero w/ TH, and dread w/ las and ML. Everything on the Sisters list can take some sort of melta weapon, if I remember correctly, except repentia, who have eviscerators -- CHAINFISTS...w/e...just sayin...sisters repentia are really really cool.
I really shouldn't reply, but I HAVE been playing an all sisters army since I started playing warhammer 40k. Its not a newbies army, but I made the mistake of playing them from the beggining. Im glad I made that mistake. You dont have to explain my own army to me. I dont even know why you are. Are you trying to insult me? do you honestly think I have never played sisters of battle before, and that I havent been scrounging the internet for even the most remote rumors of the witch hunters codex? I know the new rules so well im tempted to play with them, even though I dont have a codex. I really dont know what the point of your post was, perhaps I wasn't clear in my earlier post, and it confused you.
In the future, read carefully before you respond to some ones post. Its very embarrassing when you do something dumb, like mixing quotes from two different people.
byt he way, when you mention sisters repentia as one of the unit choices available to sisters, the repentia was a special character for the sisters of battle before witch hunters comes out. I beleive her stats where in a chapter aproved, or White dwarf, but they where not included in any of the old army list (the one in the 3rd ed rule book, or the codex in chapter aproved)
