Hey. I play Black Templars and after reading a lot of other posts, I decided to get bikes for my other 2 fast attack choices for the extra fire support I need. Im fielding a footslogger army, and its done very well against most oppenents except those with a lot of transports and some nid lists always make it a close game. Im planning to 2 squads of 5 bikers w/a attack bike and I ran into a snag. Since BT are a CC army I would have chosen the PW,, but I also believe I need more anti-tank w/the Meltaguns because all I have right now are 2 Hellfire dreadnoughts and a Pred. Annihilator w/hvy. bolter SS. I already decided on giving the attack bike a multi-melta and I am also interested in your opinions on bikes as well. Thnx for your help.

5 bikers, one attack bike armed with 2 meltas , multimelta and a vet sarge with thunder hammer and ccw . You can either turbo boost first turn to go tank hunting or carnifex hunting. =)
Good luck , hope i help-ded
Thnx for the reply, but should I swich the multi-melta for a hvy. bolter, becasue there job is to provide shooting cover and the bikers already provide a little more anti-tank work. And will other people plz reply.
oh . . ok , give your squad 2 plasmas and a power weapon for cover fire and provide counter attack . while everyone shoots that or other things take a multimelta squad , deploy 16 " or 12" depending on the game then turbo boost , then by secong turn you can move up and shoot , or if you have termis you can give your multi meltas tele homers . so you get a range between 36 - 40 " .
I went through this same problem with my BTs. It seems like the Plasma guns are out because you can't charge after shooting them (they aren't bike mounted).
This left the flamers, melta & power weapons. Flamers just didn't do it for me on an expensive model.
Anyway, in the end, I went with 2 MGs, 1 PW on a 5-man squad, and a multi-melta on an attached attack bike. This way, I can pretty much demolish anything that gets in my way, and with the power weapon, you won't get caught in a combat against MEQs and fail to do much of anything. The problem there lies that you only get one attack, so 3 PWs is just plain worthless.
Just my 2 cents.
