I'm very tempted to make my guard into the Karahoni warhawks. Are there any tips, conversion ideas or tactics out there that someone could give me.
Many thanks, Ondurin
Do you mean harkoni warhawks? I found that Space marine back packs w/ the two bulbs trimmed off makes a neat looking pack capable of being added onto for whatever, be it grav chutes or power pack for a hellgun.
Battlesuits, putting the BS in BullS*%t.
I was at one time planning to build a Harakoni Warhawks army also - they look kewl, have sweet doctrines, and would have an exciting playstyle methinks.
I was basically planning on giving every one the vox-mask heads, and possibly greenstuffing masks for other heads too. For the backpacks, I was going to use the normal vox backpacks, but I didn't think of the SM packs, might be a good alternative.
Carapace is tricky to model though. I think the easiest way would be to sculpt a pair of good kneepads out of greenstuff, and then make a mould for them, and mass-produce. Just remember to curve the backside of the kneepads so they fit around a leg, maybe you could use lubed-up guardsman legs to smush the GS into the moulds?
And then start saving up for the Vulture Gunships!
