Hi, on the verge of collecting my first army for 40k and have been doing a fair bit of thinking about my future army.
My current question is simple, is it possible for DH to use a Mortis dreadnought, and would it be a viable option...I was thinking two variants for different armies...twin heavy bolters or twin missile launchers...
anyway Im very new and have alot to learn so thanks for your time
the mortis pattern isb't available to anyone, unless your opponent says "sure, i'll allow FW".
Fluffwise the mortis is only used by DA's and successors. I'd allow it (i don't think they're overpowered) but i'd think it sporting if only DA's use it.
The nice thing to do with the Mortis arms is to make a left handed Dreadnaught.
Get the left Mortis las cannon arms for the Mk V dread and the right CCW arm for the Mk IV and a FW Mk IV GK Dread body.
Costs no more than a normal FW Dread but you need to do a little conversion to get the Mk V arm to fit the Mk IV shoulder joint.
