hehe... this is where I would have fun. Ok, now this might be a lot of work, but its realy fun to do. Instead of using a metal mini, use a plastic space marine for your base. This will make it easier to fit in details. Don't use a regular space marine head of course, but use any head of your choosing. My Raven Guard have an Irish bregade, so I gave a Force commander the head of a Space wolves guy who had a beard and painted red hair (actually is was scorched brown as a base coat with blazing orange drybrushed on afterwards. After some highlight work, I then varnished to give it a shiney hair look). I gave the model a jump pack too. I wanted to give it a Rosarius, so I put green stuff on the chest, and carved away at it after it had dried to make it look like a badge with purity seals hanging from it. Just as detailed in the Deamon Hunters codex I put a very large amound of purity seals all over his armor. For the arms I gave him Lightning claws, but I put a plasma pistol at his hip. The really cool part was the plad drapery that I put on with green stuff. Im not very good with painting paterns and other textures onto models, but despite that the plad looked really good. thats just what I did, and it adds a lot of flavor to my army. For a beginer, just take a regular force commander mini and give him a jump pack, maybe power claws.

just as easy as a regular backpack. Chaplains are also easy to put backpacks on, I see people do it all the time. Librarians really vary though. Some times, but not always, they have some junk on their heads, and other areas that get in the way. In my experiance, models with hoods have no problems though.

there are allready pleanty of threads on that, but the cheepest way is to take the knives that come in the space marine sprew and glew 3 to the back of each models hand.
