    new Infantry hevy army

Hey i was once an active member but lately i have been more of a ghost. However i have recently started playing imperial guard army and i was wondering what you thought of my army so far this is every thing i have bought. I tried to keep the pts vague as possible as to not piss off games workshop trolls

    My imperial guard list

    command platoon 380
    junior officer
    2x special weapon squad
    2x antitank squad (laz)
    3x plasma guns
    2x demo charges

    command platoon 380
    junior officer
    2x special weapon squad
    2x antitank squad (laz)
    3x plasma guns
    2x demo charges

    troops

    platoon 400
    junior officer
    5x squad
    5x plasma guns

    platoon 400
    junior officer
    5x squad
    5x plasma guns

    hevy
    3x russes 420

    1980

as you can see I'm going troop and plasma heavy army, as i quite often fight heavy infantry type army's (lots of terms and big bugs... stuff like that)

so i was thinking about more fire power... i was thinking about lazcannons in the command squads, but that would make them targets :-p but do i really care? Counter assault squads seemed too expensive for my tastes.

The imperial guard elite options didn't do anything for me, and with my current setup they would make an easy target.

You can only get 1 command platoon, just though you ought to know.

Also, leadership would be a big problem for this army.

I would suggest getting 2 HSOs and dropping the russes for more infantry.

Conscripts may also be good to add to the "WOW! he has liek 300 models! S*%t S*%t S*%t I'm screweded!!!!!!!!!1!!!!1" factor.

I dont know what you mean by that - i've always found 3 plasmagun toting veteran squads to mean absolute ownage in this kind of situation.

Don't bother giving them a lascannon, just keep them hidden until they are needed - then pop 'em out and fry anything you point them at.
"Pickles, the drummer, doodily doo. (Ding-dong, doodily, doodily, doo.)"

Also, you should google "garfield minus garfield". Awesome.
