yes, when getting repped you probably did something good. I dont think you get points if its a bad rep.

Ah that makes more sense, it sounded as if it was simply based on activity related to posting and how many times you simply log on. Like I said I applaud the idea and I think it should reward the members who have been on here a long time and consistently been active over that time.

I thought that bad rep was removed?

I think this is an interesting idea, but I'm a little worried that it might encourage spamming as people try to get into the top 25.

Is there a page where we can view the top 25 people at any given moment, based on the points? I'm not sure exactly which points are being used, are they the same ones that you see listed if you click on someone's names and the "View Profile" box pops open?

A cool idea, and it's really hard for anyone to complain too much about it being "unfair," since it really isn't something that occurs frequently on any website and it's obvious that the admins are trying to be as fair as they can be. Thanks for the opportunity, Blackhat, and hopefully these things work out well.

Its the points in the orange bar. To get in the top 25 list you would need around 10-11,000 points.

Remember also that we will continue this every 3 months. With more sponsors maybe we can have this contest every month

So I have been posting more on the Tau forum, I am on the forum many many many times throughout the day. Yet my activity meter is going down, huh hows that work then? Just what is classed as 'activity' because apparently visiting the forum 20 times a day and posting 8 or 9 times in a day is not classed as activity and reduces your activity rating. Strange
In the last week my activity rating has gone down from 53% to 48% yet I have been very active on the forum.

Im not too sure. I log on probably three times a day, but when Im on I view alot of posts and browse around, my activity is at 97% at present!
