After our first contest I would like to start a quarterly LO giveaway.

If you want to sponsor our giveaways in exchange for free banner advertising (3months) then send me a pm.

The items will have a value of around $50-$100. Sponsors will have impressions adjusted accoring to the prize value.

no, we randomly pick a member out of the top 25 at the end of each of the listed months. So every quarter we give away something

Sounds like a cool idea, Blackhat. People really started getting more active for the last one, but that excitement seems to have died down for some; the possibility of having several chances at it throughout the year might keep people quite active.

I know this possibly isn't the best place to bring it up... and I have no idea what is possible within the confines of forum code and such but... is there any other way of giving stuff away?

By all means keep the activity method - it works and clearly gets people active. But there are some quieter members out there who post some stunning stuff and will probably never have the chance of getting an activity award because they're not on the boards so much.

Perhaps a random winner could be picked from the top 25 amongst the 'Most rep received' or 'Most rep given' or 'most views' or something like that... Like I said, I don't really know what is possible, and it's not that I don't think those who post a lot don't deserve their rewards as well but... perhaps in the future the methods of give-aways could be varied, so more of our members have a chance of reward!

Just an idea to take away...
