Well, today i set up a LO Folding at Home team.
For those that dont know what folding@home is, it's a distributed computing application similar to SETI@home, but using Protein Folding as a base.
For a basic introduction, the program will sit on your PC carrying out calculations, and then send them to the main Folding@Home PC. These results will then be used in Protein research.
For more information visit http://folding.stanford.edu/
If you wish to join the LO "Team" then if you visit the above site, and download the appropriate program. Install the program, and the first time you run it you will be asked for a Username and Team. Enter an appropriate username, and the LO team number is 45316
Our team statistics can be viewed here: http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/m...&teamnum=45316
(Please note, you only show up as a Team Member once you have completed your first work unit)
