Black is soo much better than any colour, great magic, awesome creatures (nightmare anyone?) and once again great magic!!!!!!. My balck deck runs around my spells and then getting of big creatures, ike phage, night mare, visara the dreadfull and it works like a charm.

Black is about bulk and muscle, but it can't compete Vs the blue control, unless you draw the god hand every single game, as in average, blue will win 60-70% of the games, before sideboard.

I would play... both of them. I've always loved two colored decks, especially with black and black and blue isn't something I've spent too much time on.

I know of a very good black deck that ruins most blue control decks day, 9 / 10 times. This would be my Rat deck, these guys are very nasty, they have insane abilities and combined with the right equipment, can be completely deadly. I am yet to play a game where my opponent has less then 2 cards in his hand every turn, and I have 16 rats, minimun 17/17 fear causers. Very nasty, if I do say so myself. That's just my two cents, Taint |

my guess is that you play the relentless rat? if so, have you heard of echoing truth? it 'ill stop you for 3-4 turns if played right.

Sry Wolf_Pack, but you guessed wrong. I use more subtle card combinations then the relentless rat deck. It has basic rats with in-play effects, like chittering rats, it also has swarm of rats and pestilence rats with there power bonus's. Then I use certain artifacts and enchantments, my favourite being coat of arms. Hope that helps, Taint |

sry, you're right, it is a type 2 deck. Indeed type 1 decks have a lot of trouble against blue control decks, and a black control deck will never match there power. Sry for any confusion, taint |
