Irc Problem

im on irc i use mirc im connected to irc and im in other chanels and then i type
/join #warhammer40k
and now im in #warhammer40k; by myself.
It's cool to have ops and all, but i was wondering what the... is going on?

just because australia is connected to the internet by someguy travelling back and forth from australia to the usa in a rowing boat using 3 1/2" floppy disks doesn't mean i shouldn't be able to connect

I actually have a similar problem. It usually either disconnects me or I can join a channel, see the people who are on it at the time, but I cannot talk or see waht they say.

First of all - the chatroom #warhammer40k is on the Undernet server.

So, on going into mIRC, and clicking on the Continue button;

You will see the mIRC Options dialog box appear.

Under Catagory: find the Connect and just under Connect you will find the word Servers. Click on the word Servers.

Now on the dropdown IRC Network: select Undernet

and in IRC Server select Undernet: Random US Server

then click OK.

Then click on the little yellow lightning flash at top left, that will allow you to enter the chatroom name #warhammer40k on the mIRC Favorites dialog box.

There seems to be a way of automatically joining #warhammer40k once you start mIRC but I havn't organised that yet myself.

Anyway, there is usually about a dozen or so people in there, you won't be on your own. The most active time is in the European evening, which is about 7 pm GMT to 1 am GMT.
