Hmmm, well I don't know where else to put this so....

I downloaded a Half-Life 2 video of a guy who beat it in like 2 and a half hours. It's avi format, I believe. it says Video Clip on explorer. I open it with Windows media Player, and the hting plays for a few seconds and the video freezes, but the sound keeps playing. Strange. i then tried every media player I could, none of which worked. Real Player, WinAmp, DivX, etc. I didn't try Quicktime, because my computer's quicktime is messed up. How would I get the movie to play? All my players are updated.

On Quicktime, when I try to open it, I have to wait a very long time before the thing even opens. Very very long. Then I click play, and another very very long wait occurs. Then it plays. Anyone know how to fix that?

Also, I want to see the video file of the DoW intro film. Whenever I see it through the game, the resolution is low and it looks blurry. I even lowered the resolution all the way on my computer, but it's still that way. So I just wanna watch the video file. none of my media players can play it, WMP 10 doesn't even play it this time, it says you need a codec or something :realmad: . Help please?

Hmmm, I kinda doubt the movie is corrupted, but I dunno. I got it from Fileplanet. Also, I don't want to reDL it, because it took hours to download. 2 and a half hours! plus there's the waiting in line time.

Try downloading Divx player, when you load the video if it's a codec problem, it'll show an error message and list the codec that it needs like the following.

Streaming error 8234982364236487

Video Encoding: Xvid Codec

Or something to that effect.

Then you search for "Codec *Insert codec here*"

Download the codec, open the media player again, and play the video
