how does the rep thing work? it says ive got 2, it shows ive been repped by three and says i have 21 reputation points? im confused. could someone explain/show something so im not so confused anymore....?

There are plenty of places you can find a good explanation of the rep system, including this thread.

Basically, the number of stars you have is determined by the number of rep points you have earned. You currently have 21 rep (well, when you posted this thread you did) so you will have one star. You will have two stars when you reach 100 rep points, 3 when you reach 200 rep points etc...

The number next to your stars is your rep power. This is the number of rep points you give to a person when you give them rep. The number increases in resonse to several criteria; including how long you have been a member of LO and the number of rep points you have. All the info you need can be found in the above link and in the rules section of the site.
