Just wondering how everyone felt about when you or your opponentare in a situation where you know that a unit is just not going to make it, ie making 24 5+ saves. Do you still roll the dice or do you for the sake of time just remove the models? I ask because my opponent got mad at me for not taking 32 saves, yes 32 for 2 drones and telling him he didn't have to roll to see my stealths cause they were 3 inches away.
In a situation like that I always roll.
Not all the dice mind you, just about 4 or 5 at a time until the model dies.
You never know, you might have a superdrone.
My blast template of S10 AP2 will toast all terminators.
I voted yes, because even if the odds tell you differently, you likely don't know, (unless you have begun to transcend the mortal sphere-another story/poll) what's going to happen. I've had many a unit stand up in the face of sure fire doom, only to retaliate and destroy the harbinger. The opposite has happened too.
I play with one guy who takes his pieces when he's sure they're dead, but it seems like giving up.
Like CPT Shortcut said, you might have a superdrone.

In WHF there is a rule, "insane courage" which basically means that if you roll two 1s on 2D6, the unit doesn't break even if it normally would. this rule hasnt been put in for nothing you know, so of course everyone rolls the dice even though the odds of rolling double ones is quite minimal. Such things happening is what makes some battles legendary and epic! ("hey, remember when my peasents held even though they were being horribly massacredby the chosen chaos knights and thus I could charge them next turn with my knights, thus winning me the game?")
but to be honest I've never yet had to roll like, anything over 10 dice of 6+ saves in order to save a unit. I'd of course still try
A Tau Ethereal was thought to have been killed today by a Bloodthirster. However, many Tau were seen fleeing the scene and are considered suspects.
Yeah its warhammer (40k or fantasy) the game where a 1000000:1 chances happens 3 times a games. You always roll the dice, unless your making your opponent really angry by rolling 30 6+ saves on 3 guys. And even then its not always a bad thing.
For the love of all that is holy can we PLEASE stop with the "yes/no" polls guys!? They are pointless and do nothing except get bumped to hell. If you got something to say, then SAY it in the thread. We don't need a poll for a question like this.
