I was wondering if any of y'all venture out into the broader world of wargaming?
Personally I will give anything on the historical side of miniatures a try. I am quite the history buff, so it is a lot of fun for me to delve into recreating great moments of history.
Right now Flames of War is my historical game of choice.
For Scifi I still mess around with my Warzone stuff and am building forces for AT-43. I also have a bunch of Starship troopers stuff too.
For Fantasy Wargods if my second choice to WFB.
i sort of play dnd mini's if that counts
i play a lot of board games but i don't play many mini games as there is no local store around me. i have to drive 80 miles to play a game of 40k in a store.
Chaos W/D/L 48/12/18 almost retired
Orks W/D/L 13/0/0 Still going strong
Space Marins in the making (Salamanders)
Let's see, I play 40k currently, then I branched out into Necromunda briefly. My interest in that died after a few months, then I moved onto BFG. That project has been put on hold since there's a lack of players in my area, and I don't really want to shell out the cash for a game that I won't ever have a chance of playing.
That was several months ago, but recently I've gone into Hordes. I have a Legion of Everblight warpack sitting beside me right now, and I still need to assemble everything but I don't have the supplies to assemble metal models properly (I dealt with a lot more plastic in 40k). Hopefully I'll get to assembling this weekend...
Lone Wolves (Space Wolves) - 2092 pts
Hive Fleet Basilisk (Tyranids) - 1767 pts
Chaos Fleet - 900 pts
i love napoleonic era armies, or something from the seven years war, are there any wargames with models you have to paint yourself from this era?
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.
Voor alle nederlanders:
The Dutch Legion
the only minature game that i have played is Johnny Reb. Which is a Civil war minature game that me and my dad used to play till he sold of his pieces and all it was a good game but 40k is still better. You had to paint up the minatures your self as myself painted up a unit from the 2nd Texas.
The most dangerous men in the world are the ones who have nothing to lose.
I play a lot of different games.
I have a decent sized Infinity force. And SpineSpur. I also play other GW games like Mordheim and bloodbowl.
Warmachine, Hordes, Confrontation...
A few of them yes.
Xvesda has some really good minis, it's a russian nap fantasy game.
