Question is in the title, just curious I know one chap doing three!
1 army, one chaos!!!! for me.
But I know someone that does orks, tyranids and eldar. He has a small batch of each.
However, I'm sure that some people on this site have played them all.
I really only have two.
The first army I started was Tau. I don't know why, but I sort of tapered off with that army (maybe it was a time issue or something) so I don't class it as finished.
The next army I got into was Vampire Counts, and this one is currently my main project, as you can see from the Tale Of Painters thread! (Woohoo, free plug... sorry)
I also have a few models from other armies. I think, from memory, I have a 40K Chaos Lord in Terminator Armour. He looked cool, what can I say? And I would like to work on a Chaos army one day. I also have a Beastman model (Can't remember what it is, probably one of the Lord/Hero models or something) - I saw the Narnia movie that came out a while back and then thought I could model the beastman to look like the head of the bad guys from that movie, whose name eludes me.
So yeah, I've been pretty narrow-minded with my purchases, so far. I think if I lived closer to a Games Workshop store, it might be a different matter though!
I tried three armies at once when i started warhammer(nids, tau, chaos)
then i lost interest and stoped playing
years latter i got into lord of the rings
then back to tyranids
then sold the nids and got into chaos
then put chaos away into a box and started tau
then sold tau and started space marines
then turned space marines into chaos marines and dug up all the old chaos models from my closet and now im sticking with chaos. so in conclusion its best to stick to one idea... and i'm resisting an urge to do an all grot army now that i saw that viva la grot thread...;Y
That is not dead which may eternal lie,
for in strange aeons even death may die.
Two. My first army, the Dark Angels and the curently WIP Raven Knights, who are destined to become my main TT army when I'm done (at the current rate the chances are we'l be way into 5th edition of 40k before that hapens, though).
Im a serial army starter!
In fact until a couple of years ago I didnt really have a usable army of any description- now i have 6 or 7 of various sizes.
At present im actively working on 3- an Empire army that has just surpassed 3000 of painted troops, a rocket battery, 10 flaggies, 20 militia, 15 spearmen and 8 knights left to go that ive recently bought; and a more ambitious Dogs of War Araby army. im also working on an Eldar army that ive been steadily building up since the release of the codex
In between these projects ill dabble with other miniatures- ive got some Daemonhunters stuff i have slowly been painting, and some Lord of the Rings miniatures. Now and again ill get something for my two 'finished' armies, Dwarfs and IG- resting in boxes i have Brettonian, Tomb King, Beasts/Hordes of Chaos and Dark Angels armies ranging from aroun 750- 1500 pts that need a good rationalising and lists formulated that i have earmarked for future projects- i think its high time i got the TKs sorted...then again the new Chaos 40k looks very nice...
PLAN CLAN MAN!!
He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man- S. Johnson
I am doing 4 armies at the moment (empire, orcs&goblins, imperial guard, space marines soon 5 i guess with new high elves stuff coming out soon. I tend to just chop and change each week getting some modals done at a time. Empire are at 95% which is great just 4 to go.
3 i guess:
6000pts Lizardmen (Mostly old models lol)
2000pts Tau Empire (only the Commander and a Squad done )
400 pts Chaos Marines (haven't started!)
i do have quite a few mini's of LotR when it first came out, but i don't seem to do them much because there's not manypeople playing the game (now isn't that a surprise...)
a Mumakil w/ 36 Haradrim
25 Goblins w/ Troll
11 Khazad Guard and Balin (was doing to continue with this guy, but never got round to it)
so, 6 armies all! damn. better stop collecting!
Hey, you only had one guy done at the time when i said you should do one! and You wish your just upstessed with warhammer like us all!.
