Welcome to Librarium Online!
I noticed today that the new high elf chariot is going to cost $25.00. (US) That seems to much cheaper then most other GW products. That and the fact that GW has lately been releasing great deals. (The apocalypse boxes) What do you guys think? Maybe this is the beginning of a price decrease?
(Don't worry! I knocked on plenty of wood!)
I would hope it is a decrease, but i dont think so. I think it might be a typo but if the charriot is really 25 bucks then you never know. They might bring things down in price a little.
3000 Ogre Kingdoms
3000 Chaos SM
I think it is a sign of GW producing their models more cheaply (ie, more efficient plastics, less poses etc.).
The cheapness of the apoc boxes is for a different reason. It is justifiable to 'force' someone to buy more models then they would otherwise buy for a small discount. The apoc boxes may also be an attempt to sell old models before a massive model release (although if this where the case you would expect an across the board price reducion).
The apocalypse boxes aren't really a sign of GW lowering prices, as nearly every large set you can buy saves money over buying the items individually. The larger the box, the bigger the discount is generally how it seems to work. And some of the apocalypse boxes are very big!

Warhammer Fantasy armies do NOT have Codices. They have Army Books.

GW products getting cheaper?
"When Space Wolves call upon Russ or the Emperor in battle, it is to witness the deeds of Men and to judge The Fallen."
- Meditations upon the Fang
GW's overall price per model has generally been going down recently (though the baneblade might have completely fudged those results ). There was a thread about it sometime around when the Empire army book came out. I think it's a result of them having achieved a decent working knowledge of all this new stuff they say they've been buying.

I came, I saw, I got a different type of Leman Russ.

So what do I do.....I mail order and tell the local GW Manager that he better get intouch with HQ in Canada because I know ALOT of people who are going to be taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity. GW Canada has been screwing us for years its about time we got a little revenge. 0:
FluffMaster on a mission to turn people to the Sisters of battle, yes folks it's all about SoB squads in Repressors with lots of flamer templates for the win.
when the UK gov. decides that the original local population of England is becoming endangered (imo it is!), then i'll start believing that too.
GW is never going to reduce that cost, even if their coming bankruptcy is slapping them in the face! seriously, GW decreasing it's prices? impossible...
EDIT: £15 for a Chariot? when did this happen? i remember the time (when the dinosaurs were around), where they used to cost £12! wow, how much has changed since i gave up their crappy magazine ...oh, catalog
