So I've been going over the forums here. I've noticed that I have made a lot of posted based on rule clarification or rule discussion. Is this wrong? I mean I have some schools for thought. One is that the only way to learn is to experience it. In by posting and risking the chance of being wrong you learn. Another is the if your just coming into the forum to debate rules you won't really enjoy your time on the forum. Another is the forum is just that, a forum, it's not wrong but people are glad to help help you along.
I just realized this post is in the wrong place, it should be in the general discussion forum.
Help the kin TAKE your soul, I mean, take your soul...
I play Vassal. I'm in V40K Open Ladder.
There isn't anything wrong from learning from experienced people, weather it is playtesting or in forum context. Actually we're not allowed to discuss rules as such as they are property of GW and their publishers. We can observe and react to concepts that are a result of the rules themselves, but we musent delve any deeper... for the forces of chaos, and their lawyers, will smite us verily.
They've got a nasty habit of that...
I actually enjoy having an old-fashioned debate about rules, it brings new things to light and (frequently) extinguishes incorrect opinions.
