A lot of the time I'm online and I want to know how well a unit would fare against another unit in a certain situation or whatever. I could work out the maths and get an average, but that can be lengthy and isn't particularly fun. Another idea would be to go on something like lorenz/vassal and roll some dice there. But lorenz is no longer free and I don't have vassal. It would be nice to have something sitting on my desktop which I could quickly open and use.
Then I thought that it wouldn't be too hard to write a program myself which does exactly that! You can download what I came up with below, it's written in C++.
There were some library/distribution issues before but I think they are fixed now, however if you have any problems then please let me know. Also any improvements would be welcome
Basically it's just a bit of fun, but might actually be useful to some. Behold, Stonehambey's random dice generator!
I have tested this in passing, and it works wonders!!!!
Many thanks Stonehameby for all the work into this and I encourage everyone to use it.
I rolled 1 million dice with it!!!!
New LOChat functions now avaliable.

I've already found a bug, can anyone else find it?
I'll see if I can fix it

Also, I've found the bug but not no my comp atm so will fix it later
Found the bug too.
haven't coded in C in a long time. does that work?
It's ok it's fixed now and should work properly (you can download the fixed version from the same link )
can you give options like 3d6?
still showing probls with alpha chars.
you're right! 3d6 = 3 dice! hahahaha my bad.
alpha chars is when it asks you to enter how many dice and if someone (me) enters anything but a number, the program loops indefinitely.
