So I've been thinking..maybe it's not the Emporer that's the key to humanity's dominance.maybe it's the Primarchs..think about it,all the time the Emp was gathering power the Chaos gods never onced messed with 'im.but as soon as the Primarchs come along they immediately try to seperate 'em..plus it was a Primarch who the Chaos powers gained control of to start the Heresy, they didn't even bother trying to corrupt or decieve the emporer, and a lot of the fluff you read focuses more on the return of the Primarchs then it does on the return of the Emporer, maybe the reason the Emp made them was b/c he knew that they would be the ones to accomplish what he couldn't..i mean he was more then capable of leading the space Marines on his own without gathering the Primarchs..i dunno quite were I'm going with all this but it just seems that the Primarchs may end up being more important then ole' Empy is..anybody got any thoughts on this?
Dunno if i shoulda put this here or Army Fluff..sorry if i put it in the wrong place
Interesting thoughts, perhaps the Emperor was just the Architect of Humanity's Salvation, the Primarchs being the trust instruments of Mankind's dominance

I think those heretical thoghts were ever spawned was that the Primarchs were very weak when they were created, but would grow to be immensly powerful. They would be easy to corrupt and thus cheap and influential allies. Damn Chaos...
Henceforth no man shall set foot upon the world, and all around shall be set sentinals to ward away unwary spacecraft. We must accept that this place is lost to us forever, and is now the eternal habitation of abomination.

The chaos gods would dare not challange the Emperor himself, but ever sice the primarchs were developed, it has been their goal to influence all the primarchses, as they are both mans salvation and destruction.
If Wolves were meant to fly, wouldn’t the Emperor have given them wings?
The emperor made the primarches before the first space marine legions were created. Originally he wanted the primarches to become his elite warriors, but since this project got messed up and the primarches were scattered all over the galaxy, the emperor made the best thing that he could achieve with the puny remains of the primarch project - armies of less strong but more numerous marines. He didn't have the resources/time to start the primarch project once again.i mean he was more then capable of leading the space Marines on his own without gathering the Primarchs
