2,000pts of Woodelves, for Rhoaran as requested. The WoodElves are difficult to get much magic defense with, but it's the only way to play their mages. I guess that an 7 Dispel Dice, and an extra die for each cast with 3+ dice, 3 Dispel Scrolls, mobile MR1 and the capability to re-reroll failed dispel's works well enough...

The way I would play this list, is to keep your Eternal Gaurd and BsB together to form a line-holder unit with Fear and +7 Static CR. Keep the Treeman nearby and give him Magic Resistance from the banner, and keep the Wardancers and Wild Riders ready on the flank. Screen or go offensive with the Dryads, and keep the Spellsingers/weaver well out of danger, they're only good on defense anyways.

Here's a list that should fit the criteria you set out above fairly well. It hits hard and with MoT, gives a ward save to almost everthing out there. Your Exaulted Champion is just filthy, and combined with the Knights, they should steamroll nearly anything they touch. The only glaring weakness in the list is the lack of DD due to having no Sorcerers.

EDIT: If you guys see this before you compose the list I do like Close Combat, at least a little pinch, so up to 2/3 of can be shooty, as long as one Carnifex and possibly one Tyrant is CC tooled.

Here we go...me, I like lots of cheap troops coming from all sides and disrupting to get my big monsters up close and personal. This is a very cc 'Nid list, use the massive amounts of gaunts to disrupt and cover your big bads until they get up close and nasty. Enjoy!

You could swap Vrasku with any of the other Heroes, since they're all the same points value.

Basic tactics are a skirmish line with Scouts & Vrasku just behind to pick off the enemy before they get to you. Wargs should stay in the flanks to prevent outflanking and engage enemy spearmen. With all those attacks you should win many more fights than you lose... and the high Uruk-Hai strength should see you kill plenty of stuff too.
